Meet our Pastor:
Pastor Phillip Loring Ferrell, is the pastor of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church of Belleville, Michigan, where he has served since 1992. Known for a compassionate heart and a passion for biblical teaching, Pastor Ferrell is committed to helping people grow in their relationship with God. Pastor Ferrell attended William Tyndall College.
He developed the deep love for scripture, discipleship and community transformation. Before joining Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. Under Pastor Ferrell‘s leadership, Mt. Hermon has grown spiritually and continues to strengthen its outreach to the local community. His preaching is marked by encouraging words and practical application. He has a strong desire to see lives changed through the power of the gospel.
Pastor Ferrell, is married to Kimberly Ferrell and together they have three children, Phillip II, Dion and Alishia. They have 13 grandchildren, one of whom is in heaven. His hobbies are reading the Bible, music and traveling, but he is most passionate about sharing God’s Word.

We believe Jesus Christ is God and through him comes salvation. This salvation is a free gift of God‘s grace received through faith not by our works, allowing us to be reconciled to God, and to live renewed, transformed lives that reflect his love and purpose.
